Fresh cranberry sauce is traditional at Thanksgiving in the US, where it's a wonderful counterpoint to the turkey and gravy. It's also great with other meats like lamb. But it's a vegan sauce, and it's great with simple foods like corn fritters.

Not only is it a bright colorful accent on your plate, but a palate cleanser between bites.
As a bonus, raw cranberries are one of the best antioxidants you can eat, ranking near the top of the list compared to hundreds of other common foods. They contain abundant polyphenol antioxidants, which are phytochemicals thought to benefit the cardiovascular and immune systems, among other things.
And when you use orange juice rather than sugar, the fresh cranberry orange sauce packs a nutritious wallop.
This orange cranberry sauce recipe is surprisingly easy and quick, and has only 3 ingredients. It's sweetened with oranges and concentrated orange juice, and the whole thing is done in the food processor.
There's no added sugar or fake sweetener, and no cooking. What I like is that you can make it as tart or as sweet as you like. Ummm, by mouth is watering.
Instructions for killer cranberry sauce:
1) Place in food processor and process until ground up fairly evenly:
2) Add to taste and process to desired consistency:
3) Chill until ready to serve
You can make apple cranberry sauce the same way. Just substitute an apple and concentrated apple juice in place of the orange and oj.
If you want it chunky and crisp, dice the apple and stir it in after processing the cranberries with the apple juice. It's also good with ½ C chopped walnuts stirred in at the end.
Note: Every other sugar free cranberry sauce recipe I have seen has had splenda or some other fake sweetener. The cranberry orange sauce and cranberry apple sauce are the perfect solutions to making sugar free cranberry sauce.
